We recently added a row of liriope surrounded by 2-5 inch Delaware River Rock along the front walkway. The biggest problem was how to end it at the driveway since it had a weird curve and we didn't want it to look unfinished.
We decided on adding a red brick diamond to set our seasonal container pots on.
Here is the pattern we made:
Here is how we did it:
We actually had all of these things laying around. Most DIY projects we do usually come from spare materials we had left over from previous projects. But I will recommend the Sakrete brand of concrete mix and surface bonding cement. They worked great and you can pick this up at Lowes or Home Depot.
We used our Skil Saw which paired with that masonry blade made cutting through the bricks a breeze.
This project was just a decorative accent to us and we were able to use some extra bricks we had in a pile which it is always nice to free up some space.
We added a length of black plastic edging with stakes to keep the river rock out of the driveway. If you are interested in seeing us install that feature head over to my Instagram (username is @FromTheGarden_DIY) to see all the fun.
